First aid is the first and immediate assistance given to an individual suffering from an illness or injury, with care provided to preserve life, prevent the condition from worsening, or to promote recovery. By completing a first aid and CPR course with Venture Education, you will gain valuable knowledge and skills of basic first aid and how to respond to emergencies that may mean the difference between life and death.
Overview: This course enables participants to acquire the skills and knowledge to perform CPR in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) Guidelines. CPR is a lifesaving technique which can sustain life until professional medical support arrives.
Recommended for: Ideal for the general public, designated first aid officers, health and safety managers and anyone who needs a CPR certificate for the workplace or their vocational qualification.
Fees: $60 (*discounts apply for group bookings and employer partners)
Duration: Total 2-4 hours (1-2 hours online and 1-2 hours practical)
Re-certification: Every 12 months in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines.
Certification: On successfully completing the training and assessment, participants will obtain a nationally accredited Statement of Attainment in the below unit of competency.
Overview: This course will enable participants to confidently manage emergencies and provide a first aid response to a casualty until professional medical support arrives. The course also includes CPR.
Recommended for: Ideal for the general public, designated first aiders, health and safety managers and anyone who needs a first aid certificate for the workplace or their vocational qualification.

Duration: Total 7-10 hours (4-6 hours online and 3-4 hours practical)
Re-certification: Every 3 years in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines.
Certification: On successfully completing the training and assessment, participants will obtain a nationally accredited Statement of Attainment in the below units of competency.
Overview: This course describes the skills and knowledge required to provide a first aid response to infants, children and adults, including management of asthma and anaphylaxis. The course also includes CPR and Provide first aid
Recommended for: Parents, grandparents, family and anyone looking after children. Required by educators and support staff working within an education and care setting such as childcare.

Duration: Total 8-12 hours (4-6 hours online and 4-6 hours practical)
Re-certification: Every 3 years in line with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines.
