The Certificate 3 Guarantee aims to help Queenslanders without a post-school qualification to gain one. The Certificate 3 Guarantee is a subsidy for your vocational education and training (VET) course fees to help you complete your first post-school Certificate III qualification. It is targeted at Certificate III qualifications because they are considered the entry-level qualification most often needed to gain employment. The Certificate 3 Guarantee means that instead of paying for the full cost of a training course, you will pay a reduced amount to make the training more affordable and accessible.
To be eligible to access the Certificate 3 Guarantee subsidised training, you must:

As you can only access the Certificate 3 Guarantee subsidy once, it is important that you choose the right course for you to take full advantage of this opportunity.
*Please note you may be eligible for the Queensland Government's Certificate 3 Guarantee Boost, assisting unemployed job seekers or those at risk of unemployment to link with training opportunities to help with finding a job or stay in employment.
Under this funding model of the Certificate 3 Guarantee, students can study the CHC30121 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care through Venture Education.
View CourseThe Higher Level Skills program aim is to help individuals to gain the higher level skills required to secure employment or career advancement or to transition to university. Under the program, your vocational education and training course fees will be subsidised to help make training more affordable and accessible to you. Subsidies are provided for a select Certificate IV, Diploma and Advanced Diploma qualifications, and priority skill sets critical to productivity within the workplace.

View CourseThe Queensland government is helping young Queenslanders to gain valuable qualifications to help them to build their career in industries where they know there will be jobs in the future. As part of the Queensland Government’s Skills for Queensland strategy, they are offering fully subsidised training for under 25s across 139 priority apprenticeship and traineeship qualifications.
To be eligible for Free apprenticeships, under 25s must be employed as an apprentice or trainee under a training contract in one of the 139 priority apprenticeship or traineeship qualifications on or after 1 July 2023.
Under the Free Apprenticeships and Traineeships for Under 25's, students can study the CHC30121 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care or the CHC50121 Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care.
View CoursesThe User Choice 2021-25 program provides a public funding contribution towards the cost of training and assessment for eligible Queensland apprentices and trainees. Not all apprenticeships and traineeships attract government funding. The funding priority will determine the level of public funds contributed to training regardless of whether the qualification is an apprenticeship or traineeship. To be eligible for a government contribution towards the costs of training, an apprentice or trainee must have entered into a training contract for a qualification that is funded by the department.
Apprentices and trainees can only receive one government contribution for a User Choice funded qualification at any single point in time; for example, a student is not funded to undertake two apprenticeships or traineeships at the same time. In addition, apprentices and trainees, including SATs, can only receive a maximum of two government funding contributions under the current User Choice program.
To be eligible to undertake training under the User Choice Program, you must:

The government will pay a portion of the training costs for your course directly to your chosen training provider up to a set amount. You will be required to pay a co-contribution fee to the registered training organisation. A student contribution fee is to be charged to all full and part-time apprentices and trainees. A student may be eligible for a partial or full exemption of the contribution fee upon enrolment. Student contribution fees DO NOT apply to School-based apprenticeships or traineeships (SAT's). The Student Contribution Fee is calculated at $1.60 per nominal hour for each Unit of Competency delivered for the qualification and therefore vary depending on the qualification and electives chosen. The Student Contribution Fee may be paid on behalf of the student by their employer or a third party.
Apprentices and trainees can only receive a maximum of two Government funding contributions under the current User Choice program. In addition, apprentices and trainees can only receive one government contribution for a User Choice funded qualification at any single point in time.

View CoursesFull fee paying students (fee for service) do not attract any government funding for the delivery of their courses. If you are not eligible for a government subsidised program, you are charged course fees on a Fee For Service arrangement that covers the cost of your study. Payment of course fees can be made using a credit card or direct deposit. If students are unable to pay for their course upfront, students have the option of going on to a payment plan.
Please note that fee for service students are not subsidised by the government in any way and that course fees vary, depending on the length and nature of the course.
Full Fee paying students can study the CHC30121 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care or the CHC50121 Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care.
