Frequently Asked Questions

How many hours are guaranteed? 

A total of 20 hours is guaranteed with an Affinity Education Group service as part of the Guaranteed Workplace Experience.

 

Where can I do my guaranteed work experience?

 

You can conduct your guaranteed work experience in an Affinity Education Group service across Queensland in Brisbane, Ipswich, Toowoomba, Rockhampton, Townsville and Cairns. Please note that placement is subject to availability at each individual service and completion of your observational requirements for your qualification will need to occur in these central city locations for a Venture Education trainer to visit your workplace.

 

Does my guaranteed work experience contribute to my overall vocational placement hours required for my course?

Yes. The 20 hours that you complete during your guaranteed work experience will be counted towards your overall vocational placement hours required for your qualification.

Can I do more work experience hours or get employment from my placement?

Yes. This will depend on the employer and the specific service. If you impress during your guaranteed work experience hours, there is an opportunity for that service to continue having you on to complete further placement hours as part of your qualification or look to employ you.
